COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!!

PASTOR JACK'S THOUGHTS        MAY 11, 2009 COUNT YOUR BLESSINGS!! After such a special day like Mother's Day we need to count our blessings!  Let us be thankful for God's blessing of family!  I think sometime we take  for granted that all the wonderful people and things that we enjoy everyday are just a part of life and we stop being truly thankful for them.  God's blessings on us are multiply and we need to acknowledge them and express our thanks to Him.  A wonderful Psalm of thanks is Psalm 103.  It begins by saying, "Bless the Lord o my soul and all that is within me, bless His holy Name.  Bless the Lord o my soul and forget not all his benefits (blessings)...."  Let me suggest that you read that precious psalm this week and be thankful as you meditate on it and thank God for all the wonderful people in your life and all the blessings you enjoy daily. Glad and I will be counting our blessings  as we fly to Richmond, Va this week to celebrate our grand twins sixth birthday!!  Please pray for us as we travel.  I have asked Rev. Scott Coleman to preach in my place this coming Sunday.  I know that you will really enjoy Scott and learn from his message this week.  Sorry that I will be gone for a few days but I will be on email and I will have my cell phone with me so that you can contact me at any time.   Blessings,  Pastor Jack  Jack L.
