EASTER VICTORY AND A HELPER!!

On Sunday we rejoiced, sang and praised as we remembered, with great and exceeding joy, the resurrection victory of our Lord Jesus Christ.  VBCG was alive with praise! Children sang, youth were jubilant, adults acted out His story and sang His praise.  Let us continue to live this week in the glow of His presence in our service on Sunday. With the thought of how blessed we are with the salvation that Jesus gave us, let us also remember His words in John 14 that although He would not still be with us in physical form that He would continue to be with us by giving us a Helper!!  The Helper that He mentioned is the very Spirit of Himself, namely the Holy Spirit!!  What a wonderful gift!!  He promised us that when we accept Him into our lives that His Spirit comes to reside in us.  He teaches us, He guides us, He corrects us as we walk in our daily activities.  What more could we ask for?!  The Spirit of our Lord Himself is with us to guide us daily!! What a comfort!  We don't have to make all our decisions by ourselves, we can ask Him to give us wisdom. (James 1:5)

Are you living in tune with His Spirit in your life everyday?  Are you talking with Him about what decisions you need to make?  Are you relying on Him to give you good counsel?  It is my prayer that each of us are doing that.  My sermon this week will be on the Holy Spirit who Jesus gave us as a free gift after we received his salvation.
In preparation for this study on Sunday, begin now to ask His advice on your daily decisions and then at night, after the day is done, reflex on His answers for your day. Listen carefully.  Learn to hear His voice.  I would love to hear how God's Spirit has guided you this week.

Listening Together to His Voice,
Pastor Jack
