Pastor Jack's Thoughts

VICTORY
Last week's thoughts were about our struggles and how we should face them.  This week, in preparation for Palm Sunday, I would like for you to consider Jesus' victory even in the face of His eminent death on the cross.  Let us remember this week that Jesus knew that he was facing death on the cross, but He was also aware that His death would usher in both salvation and victory over death for every one of  us!!

What a wonderful Savior! How gracious He was to receive the shouts of "Hosanna to the King" but yet understand that these shouts of hosana would soon be darkened by the shouts of "Crucify Him!"  He knew why He came into the world and He would not be detered from carrying out the will of His Father.

This week, please meditate daily on Jesus' great sacrifice for you!  Ask yourself,"If I knew that difficulties are in my future, am I willing to have the same attitude of acceptance that my Savior had?"  Can we, as His redeemed family, truly and totally accept God's will for our lives whether life is easy or difficult.

I am praying for each of us that our attitude will be the same attitude as our Lord as we trust in Him and accept His will for our lives.

In His Mercy,
Pastor Jack Martin
