FIX (FOCUS) YOUR EYES ON JESUS!!
"Fix (look at or focus) your eyes on Jesus the Author and Finisher of your faith, who for the joy that was set before Him, endured the cross, despising the shame and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:2 As we begin 'Holy Week' as some refer to it, let us keep our focus on our Savior who gave His life for us on a cross two thousand years ago.
In honor of Him, let us focus our thoughts, praise and thanksgiving on His wonderful gift to us. Since He gave His life for us, surely we can take time to worship and adore Him in our daily lives this week. And remember as you do, this week in not only in memory of His sacrifice on the cross but also of His victory in the resurrection! All of us who have trusted Him as Savior are a part of this celebration of victory and His reign!
As we prepare our minds (hearts) for Easter Sunday, let me suggest that each of us do several things:
- Remember in prayer and praise the day that you prayed and invited Him to be your Savior. Thank Him and praise Him for His new life in you.
3. Ask God to give you opportunities this week to speak a word of Him to others, lend a helping hand to someone in honor of Him, and above all, honor Him in your actions and thoughts each day.
Rejoice and be exceedingly glad because great is our Savior and Lord!! Let this week truly be a 'holy week' as we, each in our own way and time, give glory through our lives to our Risen Lord and King, Jesus!!
Fix your eyes on Him!!
